Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals Now Playable in Pokémon TCG Live

The latest Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion, Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals, is now available in Pokémon TCG Live. This expansion introduces Team Rocket-themed cards and exclusive cosmetics, allowing players to align with either heroic Trainers or the infamous Team Rocket.

Team Rocket-Themed Content

Players can collect and battle with new Trainer's Pokémon cards, including iconic duos like Ethan and Ho-Oh ex, Cynthia and Garchomp ex, and Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex. The game's interface has been updated with a Team Rocket-inspired look for a limited time, enhancing the immersive experience.

Exclusive Cosmetics

By participating in Ranked matches, players can earn special Team Rocket-themed cosmetics:

  • Ekans Rocket deck cosmetics: Available from May 29 to June 26, 2025
  • Koffing Rocket deck cosmetics: Available from June 26 to July 17, 2025

Additionally, progressing through the Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals Battle Pass between May 29 and July 17, 2025, unlocks further Team Rocket-themed rewards.

Trainer Trials Schedule

Trainer Trials offer unique deck-building challenges and rotate weekly on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. PDT:

  • May 29 – June 5: Aceless – Only one copy of each card allowed; no Rule Box or ACE SPEC cards.
  • June 5 – June 12: Twin Battle – Each card must appear exactly twice in a deck.
  • June 12 – June 19: Singleton Showdown – Only one copy of each card permitted.
  • June 19 – June 26: Half-Year Havoc – Only cards from the past six months' expansions allowed.
  • June 26 – July 10: Gym Leader Challenge – Decks must include Pokémon of a single type; no Rule Box cards; one copy of each card.
  • July 10 – July 17: Silver Series – Only common, uncommon, and rare cards from the Scarlet & Violet Series; no Rule Box cards.
