The Pokémon Company International has officially announced the next English Pokémon TCG expansion—Black Bolt and White Flare—a special dual set inspired by the Unova region. This release mirrors the Japanese sets revealed over the past weekend and marks a unique split release format, with individual products for each set and select combined offerings.
The Black Bolt and White Flare expansions will launch on July 18, 2025, and bring a fresh twist with three parallel foil versions for cards—two of which feature distinctive Rainbow Poké Ball and Master Ball patterns.
Each expansion will include
- 6 Pokémon ex
- 8 Ultra Rare cards
- Illustration Rare cards for every Unova Pokémon
- 1 Special Illustration Rare Supporter card
A variety of themed products will accompany the launch
- Elite Trainer Boxes (releasing July 18): Featuring promo cards of Tornadus (Black Bolt) or Thundurus (White Flare), depending on the set chosen.
- Binder Collections (releasing July 18): Available for both sets, each includes a 9-pocket album and 5 booster packs.
- Unova Poster Collection (releasing July 18): Comes with 2 booster packs from each set and three promo cards for Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott.
