Unleash the Power of Crowned Zacian and Zamazenta in Pokémon GO
Starting with Pokémon GO Fest 2025, Trainers have the opportunity to transform their Zacian and Zamazenta into their formidable Crowned forms using a newly discovered resource: Crowned Energy.
Introducing Crowned Energy
Crowned Energy comes in two types:
- Crowned Sword Energy – Transforms Zacian into Crowned Sword Zacian
- Crowned Shield Energy – Transforms Zamazenta into Crowned Shield Zamazenta
These energies are rare and can be obtained through:
- Special Research tasks during in-person Pokémon GO Fest events in Osaka, Jersey City, and Paris
- Defeating Crowned forms in five-star Raid Battles during Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global
- Completing ticketed Special Research during the global event
Transformation Requirements
To transform your Pokémon:
- Zacian must know the Charged Attack Iron Head and have 1,000 Crowned Sword Energy
- Zamazenta must know the Charged Attack Iron Head and have 1,000 Crowned Shield Energy
Once transformed, these Pokémon cannot be traded or transferred to Pokémon HOME. However, after the initial transformation, you can switch between forms without additional energy.
Exclusive Moves and Max Battles
Upon transformation:
- Crowned Sword Zacian learns the Charged Attack Behemoth Blade
- Crowned Shield Zamazenta learns the Charged Attack Behemoth Bash
These forms are eligible for Max Battles, where they can level up their signature moves and unlock additional abilities like Guard and Spirit moves, providing new strategic options in battles.
