Shadow Regigigas caught during this event may have boosted stats, making this an ideal time to power up your team with a true heavyweight.

Throughout the event, you’ll be able to collect up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, and for a limited time, the Remote Raid Pass limit is increased to 20—starting the evening of May 16 through the end of the event. The Crown Clash event is set to take place from Saturday, May 10, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. This event marks the debut of Kingambit, the Big Blade Pokémon, in Pokémon GO.

During the event, you'll have the opportunity to evolve Bisharp into Kingambit by setting Bisharp as your buddy and defeating 15 Dark-type or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles. Additionally, Nidoqueen and Nidoking will appear in raids wearing regal crowns, and if you're lucky, you might encounter their Shiny forms.

Event bonuses include 2× XP for evolving Pokémon and an increased chance to encounter Shiny variants of Nidoqueen wearing a crown, Nidoking wearing a crown, Slowpoke, Combee, and Litleo. Catching Slowpoke may also award a King’s Rock.

In the wild, expect to see more of Slowpoke, Slakoth, Piplup, Combee, Snivy, and Litleo, with a chance to encounter Pawniard. Raids will feature Sneasel, Klink, and Pawniard in one-star raids, and the crowned Nidoqueen and Nidoking in three-star raids.
