Trainers, get ready to bulk up with Machop during the upcoming Community Day Classic event in Pokémon GO! Here's everything you need to know:
Event Date & Time
- Date: Saturday, May 24, 2025
- Time: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
Featured Pokémon
Machop, the Superpower Pokémon, will appear more frequently in the wild during the event. Lucky Trainers might even encounter a Shiny Machop!
Event Bonuses
- 3× Catch Stardust
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
Exclusive Move
Evolve Machoke (Machop’s Evolution) during the event or up to one week afterward to obtain a Machamp that knows the Charged Attack Payback:
- Trainer Battles: 110 power
- Gyms and raids: 95 power
Timed Research
All Trainers who log in during Community Day will receive Timed Research tasks. Completing them will earn you an encounter with a Machop that has a special Might and Mastery–themed Special Background. This research will be available for one week following the event.
Special Research Story
A Community Day Classic–exclusive Special Research story will be available for purchase at US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). This ticket can also be gifted to friends with whom you’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.
